Some Good Economic News

The nation has received a crash course in economics over the past four weeks. (Unfortunately, lessons learned in crash courses usually aren't remembered.) If you're like me, though, you are a little tired of the doom and gloom headlines. So, here's some positive spin:

First, from the man in charge, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's op-ed in the WSJ: "We're Laying the Groundwork for Recovery."

Second, also from the WSJ, an article comparing our economic outlook to those of other nations: "America Will Remain the Superpower." I like the tagline, "When the tide laps at Gulliver's waistline, it usually means the Lilliputians are already 10 feet under."
